Microsoft lernte von der ersten XBOX und machte einiges besser. 2005 erschien dann die XBOX 360 und diese Konsole hielt sich bis 2016 und verkaufte sich 84 Millionen Mal. Mit einem besseren Controller und wieder sehr starken Exklusiv-Titeln konnte man gegen die Wii U und PS3 deutlich punkten. Auch die Kinect sorgte für Interesse (wenn auch nicht für langfristiges). Einzig das HD DVD Add On dürfte kaum jemand ernsthaft interessiert haben.
