Der Vectrex von General Consumer Electronics (und später von Milton Bradley) erschien in den USA 1982 und in Europa und Japan 1983. Diese Konsole musste nicht an einen Fernseher angeschlossen werden – denn der war direkt Teil der Konsole. Das Bildschirm war zwar schwarz/weiß, aber mittels Overlays auf dem Screen konnte man einen Farbeffekt erzielen. Eingebaut war in die Konsole auch das Game Mine Storm. Obwohl der Vectrex leider ein kommerzieller Misserfolg war und 1984 schon wieder vom Markt ging, lieben Fans (ich auch!) diese Vektorgames und die ganze Konsole immer noch.
The Vectrex from General Consumer Electronics (and later from Milton Bradley) appeared in the USA in 1982 and in Europe and Japan in 1983. This console did not need to be connected to a television – as this was directly part of the console. Although the screen was black and white, it was possible to achieve a colour effect using overlays on the screen. The game Mine Storm was also built into the console. Although the Vectrex was unfortunately a commercial failure and was withdrawn from the market in 1984, fans (including me!) still love these vector games and the whole console.
