Die Firma Tandy werden besonders PC Gamer noch heute kennen. Tandy brachte den TRS-80 Color Computer – liebevoll CoCo genannt – 1980 auf den Markt. Natürlich sollte dies ein Heimcomputer zum Arbeiten sein. Aber ratet was Gamer damit wohl gemacht haben – richtig gezockt. Und tatsächlich hielt sich der CoCo bis 1991. Weiterentwicklungen wie der Color Computer 2 / CoCo 2 (erschienen 1983) und der Color Computer 3 / CoCo 3 (erschienen 1986) gab es zwar, aber es basiert eben alles auf dem ersten Color Computer.
PC gamers in particular will still recognise the Tandy company today. Tandy launched the TRS-80 colour computer – affectionately known as the CoCo – in 1980. Of course, this was supposed to be a home computer for work. But guess what gamers probably did with it – really gambled. And indeed, the CoCo lasted until 1991. There were further developments such as the Color Computer 2 / CoCo 2 (released in 1983) and the Color Computer 3 / CoCo 3 (released in 1986), but they were all based on the first Color Computer.
