Es wird Zeit für ein neues Nintendo Gimmick: 3D! Da war da schon mal was, oder? Naja, der Nintendo 3DS erschien 2011 und behielt seine beiden Screens bei. Aber konnte jetzt eben auch 3D und brachte damit mehr Tiefe in die Games. Es gab auch wieder eine gute Auswahl an Games. Aber an den Hype vom DS kam der 3DS nicht mehr ran. Bevor der 3DS 2020 verschwand hat sich der Handheld knapp 76 Millionen Mal verkauft. Natürlich zählte Nintendo wieder alle Modelle zusammen (2DS, XL, LL). Kompatibel ist der 3DS mit dem DS und dem DSi.
