Nach dem Megaerfolg vom Gameboy brachte Nintendo im Jahre 1998 den Gameboy Color heraus und – Überraschung – der war farbig. Ich bin ein großer Fan vom Gameboy Color – besonders von den Games, die extra für den Color entwickelt wurden und sehe diesen auch als eigenes Modell. Aber Nintendo wäre nicht Nintendo, wenn die das anders sehen würden. Daher gibt es auch nur die gleichen Verkaufszahlen wie beim Gameboy. Aber auch dieses Prachtstück musste irgendwann von uns gehen und das geschah 2003.
After the mega success of the Gameboy, Nintendo released the Gameboy Color in 1998 and – surprise – it was in color. I’m a big fan of the Gameboy Color – especially of the games that were specially developed for the Color and I also see it as a model in its own right. But Nintendo wouldn’t be Nintendo if they saw it differently. That’s why the sales figures are the same as for the Gameboy. But even this gem had to pass away at some point, and that happened in 2003.
