2000 war es soweit und die PlayStation 2 erschien. Sony konnte damit seinen Triumph von der PlayStation 1 noch mal deutlich steigern. Denn die Konsole verkaufte sich sogar 155 (!!!) Millionen Mal. Dieses Mal setzte Sony auf das DVD-Format. Die Spiele konnten als noch umfangreicher werden und die PlayStation 2 war auch noch kompatibel zur PlayStation 1. Was wollte der Gamer mehr 😉 2013 ging dann aber doch die letzte PS2 über das Band.
