The Saba Videoplay is the German version of the Fairchild Channel F, which was released in the USA in 1976 and in Japan and Europe in 1977. The ‘Fairchild consoles’ were allowed to continue until 1983. The Fairchild Channel F was the first console with interchangeable plug-in modules. But the console didn’t stand a chance against its rival Atari. The Fairchild Channel F is also still available from Nordmende and Luxor.
