Der Neo Geo von SNK ist wohl der Rolls Royce unter den Konsolen. Genauso teuer aber eben genauso legendär. Auf dem SNK Neo Geo gab es echte Arcadespiele zu zocken. In Japan und USA erschien die Konsole 1990 und dann in Europa 1 Jahr später. Der hohe Preis der Konsole und auch der Preis der Module sorgte dafür, dass dieses Prachtstück sich nur knapp 1,2 Millionen Mal verkaufte. SNK versuchte noch mit dem SNK Neo Geo CD etwas zu retten. Dieses Mal erschien diese Konsole zuerst in Japan und Europa 1994 und USA musste 2 ganze Jahre warten. Das half den Verkäufen sicherlich nicht.

The console was released in Japan and the USA in 1990 and then in Europe a year later. The high price of the console and the price of the modules meant that this gem only sold just under 1.2 million units. SNK tried to salvage something with the SNK Neo Geo CD. This time the console was released first in Japan and Europe in 1994 and the USA had to wait two whole years. That certainly didn’t help sales.
