Von 2012 bis 2014 erschien irgendwie aus dem Nichts der SNK Neo Geo X. Dies war eigentlich ein Handheld wie die Pocket-Varianten. Aber mit einem Gehäuse, dass es so aussehen lässt wie ein echter Neo Geo. Für dieses System gab es Cards auf denen die typischen Neo Geo Games drauf waren. 20 Spiele sind schon auf der Konsole vorhanden. 16 konnten über 6 Cards (5×3 + 1) hinzugefügt werden. Für Neo Geo Interessierte okay – für richtige Neo Geo Fans echt nichts.
