Betrieben wird das Ger\u00e4t mit sogenannten HuCards. Sp\u00e4ter folgte von der Konsole auch eine CD-Fassung. Die PC Engine kam sehr gut an und verkaufte sich in der Erstversion 5 Millionen Mal und dann mit CD zus\u00e4tzlich noch mal 2 Millionen Mal. Europa bekam die Konsole erst 1990 und durch einen Rechtsstreit verschwand die Konsole komplett vom Markt. Wieder einmal hatte Europa beim Gaming das Nachsehen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The NEC PC-Engine appeared in Japan in 1987 and finally in 1989 as the TurboGrafx-16 in the USA. The device is operated with so-called HuCards. A CD version of the console followed later. The PC Engine was very well received and sold 5 million copies in the first version and then an additional 2 million copies with the CD. Europe only got the console in 1990 and a legal dispute meant that the console disappeared completely from the market.
